When you use Rentomatics, we collect the following information:

• Account information: Your email address and password (stored securely via Supabase Auth).
• Search preferences: Your apartment description, desired location, budget, and other search criteria you provide.
• Chat history: Messages between you and the Rentomatics AI agent.
• Listing activity: Listings saved to your dashboard, status updates, and notes you add.
• Usage data: Basic information about how you interact with the Service (e.g., pages visited, features used).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Operate and personalize your apartment search experience.
• Power the AI agent to search listings and communicate on your behalf.
• Send you relevant listings and updates about your search.
• Improve the Service and fix bugs.
• Respond to your support requests.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. AI Processing

Your chat messages and search preferences are sent to OpenAI's API to power the AI agent. OpenAI processes this data according to their privacy policy. We use the API in a way that does not allow OpenAI to use your data to train their models.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Rentomatics:

• Supabase — database and authentication. Your data is stored in Supabase's hosted infrastructure.
• Vercel — hosting and deployment.
• OpenAI — AI language model powering the chat agent.
• RentCast / RapidAPI — third-party listing data providers. Your search criteria (city, beds, price) is shared with these services to fetch relevant listings.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing support@rentomatics.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

6. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, including encrypted data storage and secure authentication. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a new effective date.
